How to underline only words but not the spaces between them in Microsoft Word 2007

If you have ever used the ‘Underline’ tool in Microsoft Word 2007 or any previous version of Microsoft Word you may notice that when you type the word and press space bar and continuing type the word again what you will see is your space comes up with the underline as the picture below.


This is annoying for many people when using this ‘Underline’ function. But this tutorial will help you how to solve this problem.

1. Highlight the word as the above picture.
2. Click the ‘Font Dialog Box Launcher’


3. In the Underline style box, click Words only.


4. Now your document should look like this finish!!
