If you want to count words in Microsoft Word what you have to do is just only type any word in a document then Microsoft Office Word 2007 will automatically counts the number of pages and words in your document and displays them on the status bar at the bottom of the work space which mean every time you press the space-bar Microsoft Word will count them for you as showing in the picture below.
